Bowl o' Goodness, That's What This Is!

Ladies and gentlemen, we have another winner! This blueberry smoothie bowl will definitely be a regular on my menu.

Review -

Yu-um! I love blueberries and I love bananas in a smoothie, so I figured I'd love this one. As with all smoothie bowls, since ingredients can be swapped out so easily according to taste or what you have on hand, the versatility of this recipe is awesome.

In the pic above, I used frozen strawberries and bananas which made the consistency too thick for my blender, so I added a bit of coconut milk to thin it out some. I also added a little local honey to help with seasonal allergies. I swapped out the hemp seeds for pumpkin seeds, the flax for chia seeds, and the walnuts for pecans since that's what I had in my cupboards. As you can see, I skipped the coconut flakes altogether.

If you're familiar with how blueberries gel when they're blended or prepared in various ways, you won't be surprised to learn the texture of this smoothie base is similar to the texture of a good Greek yogurt before it's stirred.

You can find a printable recipe HERE.

Bon apetit, my friends!
